So I insist on playing swtor on max graphics and I was getting fps in the teens on the imperial fleet that was unacceptable.

My new rig:

Evga Nvidea GeForce 550ti GTX
OCZ Vertex III 120 GB SSD
WD Black Caviar 1TB
Intel I7 3.2Ghz S1366
EVGA X58 SLI 3 S1366
6GB DDR3 1600Mhz

That and... Isn't that graphics card pretty old? Couldn't you get a 560ti for not much more?

I'm reusing parts from my old comp, that solid state and motherboard both run close to two bills while the processor is almost three, I will upgrade my graphics card in time, it is plenty for swtor

Seems like an i7 is a little overkill for gaming.

Nope. A lot of MMO's are CPU intensive.

Quad core should be plenty for latter-day gaming. Anything above an i5-2500k is just overkill.
