Hey guys! I am wondering if any tech-savy people can help me out here.

I am looking to buy a new computer, not build one because I am too worried about messing something up. My price range is about 1000-1100$ MAYBE 1200.

Here is the one I am currently looking at:

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0050JSJU4/ref=asc_df_B0050JSJU41747611?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&tag=pg-467-95-20&linkCode=asn&creative=395097&creativeASIN=B0050JSJU4

I like everything about this computer except for the graphics card. I want to be able to play every game for the next couple of years (DEF. GW2 and SWTOR)

Does anyone know of a computer around this price that would be very good for gaming? or will this computer will be fine?

Thanks.

I recently bought mine and here is what I got:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883229269
For 1150 it will handle every new game that comes out for the next 2-3 years on the highest graphics.

The computer you linked is just what you said. A good computer... minus the graphics card. The 6700 series is a little outdated and you can upgrade to 6800 for $50 or the 6900 series for about 100-150 more. Well worth it in my opinion.
As far as my opinion for where you should buy your PC, I don't think amazon is the best choice (still a good choice mind you). I recommend Newegg.com or tigerdirect.com.

If you do some snooping into what graphics card, processor and ram are best suited to your needs it would help narrow your search.

For example, you don't need to buy THE best graphics card available to be able to run the next big games coming out.

You should also ask yourself some questions which will help pinpoint what you want:
whether you want AMD or Intel processor?
NVidia vs AVI for graphics?
how big of a hard drive do you need?
Are you going to be overclocking your PC?
do you plan on upgrading your computer down the line?
Are you planning on playing new games on the highest graphics settings or are you ok with dialing them down a bit (this could mean the difference between spending under or over $1000) ?

Here are some I found with a quick search for the main 4 things: (I gave a quick rating on each criteria)
in this order: RAM, Processor, Graphics, Hard Drive
rating: Excellent - great - good - ok - bad

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1363189
good, great, good, ok
$899.99

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=851773
good, great, great, excellent
$1099.99

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883229230
great, excellent, great, good
$1009.99

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883227361
good, great, excellent, great
$1059.99

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883227342R
(Great computer, cheap, but has lower hard drive and its on sale because it is a return/refund. Could be risky buy)
great, excellent, excellent, good
$909.99

I know a lot of people are against Dell but they do have some really good machines as well. Specifically their XPS 8300 line. Even their lowest end machine is pretty decent, it could use some upgrades but it will play your games. And it is cheap. I own one of their higher end machines and I am happy with my purchase.

Comes with a 3.0GHz I5 sandy bridge processor, 6 GB Ram, 1.5 TB HD, Win7 Home Prem(64bit), and a AMD Radeon™ HD 6450 1GB DDR3 video card. All that for $699.99(This is the bottom of the spectrum for their XPS 8300 line)

There are other options available, and you can upgrade as needed considering you have about $400 to work with. Again, I know a lot of people that do not like dell, but don't rule them out.

It will serve you nicely, the only thing that I don't like about it is the hard drive size.
1 TB is a little small for my needs but that is only because I have a TON of music and videos.
You can always get an external hard drive anyways..

I give it a 4.25 / 5 for just looking at the specs

Yeah I'm not too worried about it since I really do not have much to put on it besides games. I have a 640gb external hardrive just in case.

Going to order the computer very soon. Is there any more suggestions for a computer that is around 900 - 1100$ that will run almost everything I am going to throw at it (Skyrim, BF3, GW2) on max settings? I'm looking at

http://www.amazon.com/Titanium-Gamer-AMTI9092-Motherboard-Microsoft/dp/B004K3LCV4/ref=pd_cp_pc_3

right now, but I am open to suggestions.

right now, but I am open to suggestions.

That computer will not run games on max settings on 1920x1080 resolution, they give you to much cpu and to much ram at the cost of the video card.

Honestly you should reconsider building your own pc if you want to spend around that much money and get max settings.

Ram

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16820231445

8 gigs is more then enough.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16814162073

This card will get you max settings at 1920x1080 also comes with batman game.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16819115072

cpu 2500k

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16811119227

good cheap case.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16813128523

solid motherboard does not have usb 3.0

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16817341017

modular power supply, so the cables don't look messy.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16832116986

And 64 bit windows if you need it.

I don't include a hard drive because the price of HDs at the moment is outrageously high because of the floods in Thailand.

Good luck.
