Anybody have an "Out-of-the-ordinary" anime they like to watch? I first got in to anime watching it on Adult Swim, so of course i follow Bleach. I also liked Cowboy Bebop, Wolf's Rain, Trigun, and was somewhat interested in Inu Yasha and Fullmetal Alchemist. One that i really liked a lot was Death Note. That one would probably be my suggestion to others. So what do you have for me, then?

You would probably like Ghost in the Shell if you have not seen it yet. Case Closed was also great, though it had a very short run.

An hour of woes and shattered shields, when the age of men comes crashing down! But it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good Earth, I bid you- stand, Men of the West! "

<-- I, me, this guy.. <333 torrents. So what i'm suggesting you can defiantly find on thepiratebay.com

Gurren lagann: great humored mecha anime, it doesn't take itself to seriously and all the explosions you could ever want

Desert Punk: Funny S#*t again-- Similar, minus the mechs

But both these animes take place in a dessert/wasteland (of all places) so watching them side by side can defiantly get stale pretty fast

Now as for more serious anime--i got next to nothing, lol. Cause the only series i got into that was like that was Death Note. The next couple are shorter animes but i'll always recommend them

Fooly Cooly (FLCL): Mostly about a boy trying real hard to make others see how "grown up" or nonchalant he is. He's constantly surrounded by wacky characters but some of the best personalities i've personally found in any Anime. I love this show to bits and pieces.

Afro Samurai: Though its American made, it's still promising story (and slightly generic) of revenge can hold you threw all 10 episodes with some great mess, emphasis on MESS, of fights. Seriously, the last time i saw that much blood was when i drew with nothing but red crayon.

I guessed roughly on Afro Samurai there maybe more episodes then just 10. All in all i've had some great times with these Animes lol

Full Metal Alchemist (both versions are fantastic...and complete...long series)

RUROUNI KENSHIN (fantastic as well)

I am a huge fan of One Piece, nothing like an anime about pirates that can't swim.

Only one I've watched is Claymore, its on netflix. Good for the first 7 or so episodes and then it becomes dragon ball z (4 episodes to kill one guy). And Mushi Shi .... nice 20min episodes that tell a full story.
