Lara Croft is back!

 So I dont know if anyone else has seen this on steam but there is a new Lara Croft game that just came out today. Its a co op game that the view and controls look like they are top down like Alien Swarm / Diablo / Contra style. There are puzzles and ways to interact with your teammate. I picked it up because its only 15$ and it was made by square enix so why not. If anyone else wants to play lets hook it up.

 Ive been avoiding Square Enix games of late. The company seems to be changing into a shovel ware focussed company. Let me know how it is. If you like it I might pick it up.

 ok well I just played through the first level and the game play is great. Its very different. I recommend using a gamepad if you have one opposed to a keyboard and mouse. Here is the one issue I have with it so far. There is no online co-op yet it is only offline 2 people on the same pc. Apparently they are working on online co-op but who knows if we will ever see that. There has been some talk of crystal dynamics working on a bigger version of a Lara Croft game that is the same style. Oh and Crystal Dynamics is the primary creator of this game , they are just owned by square enix so, take what you will from that. There is a demo you can install and try out to see if you like it and if you have a game pad and a large monitor and real life friends invite one of them over to play some Lara Croft GotL. I am going to order a 360 controller receiver for my pc so I can just use my xbox controllers. you can get them on amazon for like 30$ new. Otherwise if you go to the store you have to buy a controller with the receiver.

 Not sure if you have any bluetooth peripherals Jake, but the 360s wireless hub caused all kinds of interference with mine.


Bought the game yesterday and I have been really loving it, Playing co-op with my wife has been a blast :)
