Hi guys. My nae is Dave or Bov, play Bovara in everything so its pretty much my nickname. I tend to respond to Bov more than Dave, on vent .... maybe I game too much :P Joined yesterday in Lotro. Loving the game, needed a change from WoW after god knows how many years, 5 I think.

I'm 35 live in England and work in the ambulance service as a EMT. Which means I work stupid hours :) 12 hour shifts so I tend to have blocks of time when I play a lot.

Used to play middle earth pen and paper roleplay, and was always reluctant to try this. Thought it would fail to live upto my expectations, but pleasently suprised how good it is. :)

Can't wait to get lost in Moria, that'll be a dream come true for me. i've always loved dwarves and rarely play anything else. Having said that I used to play Star wars Galaxies as a weaponsmith crafter. In wow I have played a dwarf warrior tank occassionally as a dps, and healed a fair bit on a priest too. Sometimes you just gotta bite the bullet and do what the team needs. Better that than never doing anything cuz u lack a healer.... got a feeling i'll be making a healer as my second char eventually. In wow I was an officer for about 3-4 years in a large raiding guild, main tank raid leader and all that jazz. In the end I gave it up because I never had any time to enjoy the game and talk to friends. It was a big guild so a lot of people wanted a lot of things etc etc. The small scale of Lotro is appealing to me and drawing me in more and more. I guess I just needed a fresh start and this is proving fantastic :).

Anyways enough rambling. Thank you for the warm welcome and looking forward to many great adventures with you all :) Bring on the ogre bashing!

"A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of woes and shattered shields, when the age of men comes crashing down! But it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good Earth, I bid you- stand, Men of the West! "
