 So does anyone have anything bad to say about windows 7?

I was gonna buy it since its only $30 with some student discount.

Is it much different from vista?

And is that gonna be the only way to get DX11, like they did with DX10 and vista?

 I had it for a while now and I personally love it. Runs very smooth. Takes a bit to adjust from XP but well worth the upgrade in my opinion.

 Yea i have it now, and i'm very pleased with it so far.
It uses about half the memory vista uses just being idle.
Very much worth the $30.

 Was thinking about getting it too, currently running Windows XP but it seems that Windows XP is slowing my hardware down alot, had Vista for a day, then de-installed already and UPGRADED to Windows XP.

 I've run it for a while on a relatively old machine with only half a gig of RAM and a 2GHz dual core for a while. I'd say it's good.
I could agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.
